I Work for an agency that has lost major appoinmtents

Post by Miami-dave »

As the headline reads they lost some important appointments and are scheduled to most likely to lose more.

I know you are all gonna say "get out quick," and I have been trying.

But I cannot get any takers for me in Miami.

My question to the forum: Any suggestions? Thanks guys in advance.

Would need to know a little more...

Why are they losing appointments?
Will they eventually close?
What are you licensed for?
Do you have a book / clients that you can take with you, or is there a NC involved?

Le us know

Losing appointments is a common thing in FLorida.

Unsure if they will close or if they will sell the book.

I am General Lines agent

My book is not enough to sustain a new agency let alone get me appointments.

Go virtual... Meaning, I have just as many out of state clients as I do in state (Colorado). Of course it depends on the type of business you are going after. Do you market in person, or a sit down or is most of your business done by phone? Mine just so happens to be about 50/50 clientbase but there are clients (loyal) that have been in the same small town I have insured for 15 years, and have never met.

I challenge you to think outside of what you know, and think HOW can I use the profession I am in wisely and grow beyond the constraints I've been given. I'm not in FL, but I am in 10 states... If you ever decide to bounce out of the brick and mortar and consider virtual consulting, the whole world is at your fingertips... with that freedom, comes opportunity through aggregators, many carriers that won't write there, will almost everywhere else, brokers, agencies looking for a virtual sales boost.

Best of luck!
