How To Find Email Addresses

A reader contacted me privately and asked how to get email addresses of suspects. I told her not to do that - its spamming and is no better than cold calling. Oh, she said, I would never cold call.

She says she has been quite successful insuring condos for some time but wants more business.

Here she is wanting to mine email addresses when less effort can be expended building a system to get more referrals. Think of the condo associations that are desperate to find a way to cut costs and reduce risk.

Build a list of your 20 best clients. Build a list of people in your client's circle. Every two months find a reason to call all 20 clients and dangle a name infront of them.

"Mary, while I have you on the phone, Jim Daniels is the CFO of the XYZ Manufacturing Company. You know Jim dont you? Could I use your name when I call Jim? I'd like to meet him."

Referrals are the platinum standard in this business. However, the best ones don't just come to you.
