The Big I

How is your experience been with the Big I ,what are the pros and cons. do they give you direct appointments and is it all commercial or PL as well?
You can only be a member of the Big I if you are a member of your state agents association. They offer hard to place lines of coverage. I suppose if you chose to work only in those lines and built up a book over 300,000 you might be able to get a direct carrier appointment.
Your average carrier will require you to have at least a $500,000 book that must be profitable. If you want carrier access join Agent Secure, Superior Access, Insurance Noodle, SAIA ...
