Friendly advice

Post by Hirschinsurance »

I'm seeking some advice on the best way to to break into the insurance carrier side from retail sales. I've sold professional liability products, mostly lawyer's professional liability to law firms for the last 5 years. Have a lot of expertise in this area. I also have a law degree and completed my RPLU. Before that spent time with an insurance defense firm working on professional liability claims.

Looking for a new challenge. I would really like to get into business development/underwriting with an established carrier looking for growth. Particularly with their professional liability products. If anyone can provide some advice on the path I should take it would be greatly appreciated.
