Sorry but good luck with this one. Payroll is too low; no one will want it. I have been having similar problems. It is probably in the insured's best interest to pay the audit. This will be an even bigger problem in the future if the insured needs to go back to State Fund for whatever reason.

If I am wrong though, please, please let me know who quoted for you.

My only idea would be to contact Appalachian Underwriters. They saved me in a slightly similar situation but my payroll was about 3x higher.

Possibly Applied Underwriters but they will want their payroll also. Another option along those lines would be their payroll company.
