Independent agent looking for advice on getting appointed to sell homeowners insurance in Michigan. Any help greatly appreciated.

There are two options.

1) Contact MAIA and Ask about joining the IAGGL - Independent Agent Group Great Lakes.

or

2) Discuss appointments with regional carriers. They will want you to have some experience and to be able to produce a solid book of business.

Marty, check out Pacific Specialty Ins. http://www.mcgrawgroup.com/ They are in your State and also very competitive in CA. Great Motorcycle and HO-3 and DP-1,2,3 programs. I have used them over the years, not my favorite for customer service but you need markets
