We are looking to become part of a brokerage in our area (Minnesota). I have researched the following companies:

1. SmartChoice (discussing options)
2. Atlas (will not take a new agency)
3. Insurance Producers Network

Does anyone know if there are other options available? Or have any good/bad experience with any of these companies?

We offer a great alternative for agents like you. Grand General Agency is a Property and Casualty wholesaler, and we give you access to dozens of carriers without production requirements or contracting fees. Your business is always 100% your business. All of our carriers have some sort of an A rating, we have both admitted and surplus lines, personal and commercial lines, and we aren't picky about how you choose to work with us. We have simple quote request forms to give you an idea if we're in the ball park before filling out detailed applications. You can send us quote request forms or applications you've used with other carriers, you can give us the information over the phone, you can even send us the quote request info on a napkin if it's got the info we need! For many risks we have multiple carriers available, and when we do, you'll get multiple quotes with one request. We do the majority of our underwriting in-house meaning we can get you quotes fast. Our most popular products are Dwelling Fire, Vacant, Mobile Home, Flood and stand-alone Work Comp. We have no phone tree so that when you call, you'll be able to talk to a real person and get your questions answered fast. We focus on serving agents in the Great Lakes States, but we write in 47 states across the country. We're here to help, and we'd love the opportunity to work with you!
