Hi,
I have a client that owns a 2 unit rental property in CA. Right now she has 500,000 liability coverage for the rental property. She wants to increase the liability coverage to $1 million, but 500K liab is the highest that the insurance carrier can go.
She lives with her parents right now in CO. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Increasing Liability limits
What about placing an umbrella over the rental?

Re: Need a market for increasing liability coverage
If it's a personal umbrella, yes, but in this case, you could likely get a Commercial umbrella, since the exposure is commercial in nature.

This client has underlying liability limits of 500,000. Do you know of a carrier that will accept this? Most commercial umbrella's that i've seen require 1Million.
