Is This Legal?

Post by go4urs »

Hello All

I hope this is appropriate, I just have a question. I'm trying to insure my small motorcycle fleet for renting. I am not trying to do the typical Harley type rentals so I've only been able to find insurance through one source (if you know where I can get this, let me know). Anyway insurance is offered thorugh an association. Paid membership, a $15000 liscensing fee and $1000 software fee is required to get the insurance. It is not available to non members. This is the only way to get to the insurance. Is this legal?
 :?: [/color]

The insurance program is a benefit to the members, so if your question is 'is this legal to allow this benefit to be available only to paid members', the answer is 'of course'.

For a small fleet, the costs do seem a bit high, although admittedly I don't know how much revenue you generate, so perhaps not, but maybe this is a case where you want to consider if the Costt of doing business is greater than the Reward of doing business.

Good luck.
