Sentry Insurance is seeking a self-motivated and results driven individual to fulfill an internal sales position for our Dairyland Auto and Cycle products. In this entry-level marketing role, you'll work with our extensive network of independent insurance agents who sell our nonstandard auto and motorcycle policies. Your primary goal will be to facilitate the sales of Dairyland products through these agents. All sales activities will be initiated through outbound phone support. The position can be staffed at our office in: Madison, Stevens Point, or Freeport.

What You'll Do
As an Agency Sales team member you will educate our agents on Dairyland products to influence their ability to sell those products. You will work closely with our Product Management and Sales teams to communicate key product initiatives nationwide. Additionally, you will be responsible for gaining market knowledge in agencies to determine potential growth opportunities. With this communication effort, you will provide sales assistance with outbound phone activities. In addition, you will:

Conduct agent outbound phone calls to support contests/initiatives and/or to introduce program changes.
Assist and train agents via telephone on the use of electronic interface(s) with the company.
Conduct outbound phone sales activities within identified territories and assist with agency management responsibilities.
Develop rapport with agents to enhance existing agent premium sources and develop new sources to achieve sales and premium objectives.
Implement plans and programs to contribute to the achievement of agency produced sales objectives.
Develop rapport with agents to develop profitable business.
Assist in identifying viable agent prospects in desired geographic locations utilizing online resources and agent organization membership listings.
Make outbound calls as necessary to support this activity.

What it Takes
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience with basic knowledge of insurance industry.
Sales and call center experience is a plus.
Highly motivated self-starter with the drive to be a top performer.
Effective communication, organization, presentation and time-management skills.
Basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft products.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle report.
