We are currently recruiting for a Underwriting Specialist for our Atlanta, GA office.
  1. Retrieve scanned contracts and review individually for completeness and accuracy of data in Teleform (OCR) system. Enter missing data and/or make necessary corrections to contract information in the Teleform (OCR) system.
  2. Research and resolve basic issues with missing or inaccurate contract information. Refer complex errors/issues to higher levels.
  3. Commit batches of contracts to database for processing. (aka loading verified data into main database)
  4. Review individual service contracts to ensure compliance with contract provisions including but not limited to eligibility, coverage, term, deductible, and surcharges.
  5. Ensure all service contracts received are processed within departmental guidelines and batches are balanced
  6. Communicate with agents, dealers, and internal personnel as necessary to resolve outstanding issues preventing the processing of contracts.
  7. Create denial and collection letters for dealers, agents, and customers.
  8. Assist dealers and agents via the Underwriting Phone Loop.
  9. Handle requests received in the Underwriting and Cancellation Support ticket queues.
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
  1. Associate Degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience
  2. A minimum of 4 years of similar/relevant experience.
  3. Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with company personnel, partners, and customers.
  4. Data entry experience in a corporate environment preferred – ideal key stoke performance 12k kph
  5. Strong ability to analyze and problem solve.
  6. Organization and time management a must.
  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  9. Experience with AS400 is preferred.
