We are looking for an Assistant Vice President to join our Excess Casualty Team:

Summary:
Directs overall underwriting profit and growth for the Excess Casualty Division in the Mid-West territory.

Responsibilities:
•Administers annual business plan for region, branch and/or product line and implements programs to achieve annual business plan objectives for product line revenues, salary administration, operating and acquisition expenses.
•Implements and maintains product line underwriting standards and policies.
•Establishes, maintains and enhances relationships with regional marketing management.
•Ensures submissions received from regional offices conform to underwriting standards.
•Ensures underwriting responses and decisions are compliant with underwriting standards. .
•Ensures communications with internal and external customers are conducive to sound business relationships.
•Conducts performance reviews and determines professional development needs and opportunities for staff; hires, fires, counsels and coaches staff to achieve organizational objectives.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

15 plus years of underwriting experience with seven to ten years of mono-line excess casualty and supervisory experience preferred.
