SummaryThe Strategic Business Analyst is responsible for identifying business opportunities within our data and then preparing, piloting and implementing strategic initiatives based on these findings. The Strategic Business Analyst must have clear understanding of business, functional and technical needs for new implementations. They work closely with various teams/areas in the sales funnel to identify improvements in our bottom line.  
The specific responsibilities of the Strategic Business Analyst include;  
  • Developing a detailed understanding of business, functional and technical needs for implementations  
  • Identifying business opportunities in our data to improve marketing, call center, and sales strategies  
  • Managing and accountable for preparation and launch of strategic initiatives  
  • Interacting and communicating with stakeholders to initiate projects; gathering all pieces of information and alignment  
  • Gathering, reporting, and analyzing results from various sources to determine success of pilot  
  • Building new processes and best practices with launch of successful strategic initiatives  
  • Being able to piece together results of pilot to create a complete picture and determine whether to move forward or kill pilot  
  • Communicating findings and recommendations to key stakeholders  
  • Developing write-ups/documentations regarding results and best practices  
  • Act as a main point of contact for the organization during the implementation process  
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for new implementations, and other post-implementation support activities  

What you need to be successful:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Finance, or Accounting
  • 3 – 5 years as an analyst with experience in project management
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel
  • Experience in coding in either R or Python
  • Working experience with Power BI or other visualization tools (i.e. Tableau)
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods in testing
  • Ability to be objective, strong critical thinking skills and keen attention to detail
