Job Description

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Firewall Policy Operations team and should come from a background in networking and/or security. We are seeking a pro-active, detail orientated and highly motivated individual who would also be comfortable with client facing aspects of the role. 

Reporting directly to the Firewall Policy Operations Manager, responsibilities include:



•    Evaluating business area requests to facilitate Firewall rule updates
•    Ensuring requests meet information security standards
•    Implementing approved Firewall Change Requests
•    Implementing ACI Contract Modification Requests
•    Peer reviewing team member’s implementations
•    Liaising with interfacing Security and Network teams to troubleshoot Firewall incidents
•    Participating in ongoing Firewall Policy improvement activity
•    Participate in Firewall Rule Optimization activity


Job Qualifications


Essential Criteria

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
•    Solid understanding of IT Security concepts
•    Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, subnetting, NAT, switching and routing)
•    Strong MS Excel skills
•    Ability to translate customer requirements into a technical solution
•    Experience of Firemon
•    Experience using Python or similar scripting language
•    Knowledge of Cisco ACI Fabric
•    Knowledge of Server Load Balancing concepts
•    Cisco ICND, CCNA
•    Palo Alto ACE
•    CompTia Security+ or Network+
