Job Description

Job Family Summary

The Associate Manager, Social Experience is a key resource within Allstate’s Social Media Center of Excellence (COE). The Social Media COE consists of three teams (Social Experience, Brand Editorial and Digital Intelligence & Engagement) which are part of the larger Marketing, Innovation and Corporate Brand division. This role is on the Social Experience team which is tasked with creating upper, middle and lower-funnel social content and experiences for the brand.

Job Summary

The Associate Manager, Social Experience will help bring this belief to life through the creation and distribution of social content for The Allstate Foundation. Their work should result in increased content quality, performance, brand love and consumer engagement with The Allstate Foundation (TAF). The Associate Manager, Social Experience will  lead TAF's social media strategy and execution. This person will create and maintain a “Social Playbook” document which guides the foundation’s entire social program (strategy, execution and measurement). In addition, they will be responsible for supporting key TAF initiatives and goals through social. Other responsibilities include: concepting and creating premium content that lives across paid, earned and owned digital platforms and content calendar planning. 

As a person, the Associate Manager, Social Experience - TAF is passionate about growing purpose-driven brands through social media. They are a social media expert who is excited to elevate The Allstate Foundation’s cause. Colleagues would say this person is known as a “kind collaborator” who works well with cross-functional teams and ideas.
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Writes inspiring, data-driven creative briefs for our Creative Center of Excellence. Reviews creative work and provides feedback to ensure content is both “on brand” and compliant with all TAF legal and risk guidelines.  
  • Leads The Allstate Foundation’s social content calendar planning in partnership with other Corporate Brand partners.
  • Creates original written and/or visual content for publication on social channels. 
  • Partners with the Social Experience Consultant to get content published according to calendar. Partners with engagement team to monitor inbound risks and opportunities for TAF.
  • Creates and maintains a “Social Playbook” document which guides the foundation’s entire social program (strategy, execution and measurement).
  • Collaborates with Thought Leadership, Brand Editorial and Storytelling teams to refine narratives, calendar and execute specific projects.
  • Partners with media team to execute and report on paid social campaigns. Partners with Digital Insights lead to report on organic and earned campaigns.
     
Job Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in digital marketing, content creation, mobile marketin
  • Advertising, public relations and/or digital marketing agency experience
  • Advanced writing skills 
  • Basic graphic design and Photoshop skills
  • Demonstrated content strategy and planning experience
  • Experience writing data and insights-driven creative briefs and partnering with creative teams
  • Paid, earned and owned campaign case studies 
  • Deep understanding of paid social advertising including creative best practices and reporting
  • Understanding of how ideas are talked about and spread on social media
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to creative teams and report on content performance
