The Role

The Lead Associate is the person recognized by the client, client advocacy team and the insurance marketplace as the lead cyber insurance advisor negotiating terms and conditions for Cyber and E&O (ie tech / media / MPL) coverages. This individual will be working in a high pace environment on a dynamic and innovative product line that is top of mind for business leaders in all industries/segments.

Core description of role:

  • The Lead broker provides advisory and placement services for Cyber and E&O coverages in the middle market segment
  • Engage and interacts with our clients as their subject matter expert
  • Utilize state of the art Cyber Risk analytics / quantification tools to help educate our clients/prospects on their cyber risk exposure
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with insurance carrier partners
  • Reporting to US MM Cyber Leader while matrixing into regional leadership
  • Utilize various portfolio / aggregation strategies to secure quotes


  • Manage a target portfolio of $1,000,000 in revenue
  • Successfully deliver state of the market terms and conditions for FINEX Cyber and E&O coverages for existing and new clients
  • Utilize aggregation strategies with insurance carriers that have pre-agreed terms and conditions that are above market standard and service standards that are beneficial to clients
  • Participate as the subject matter expert to our clients, including RFPs, coordination of acquiring quotes, delivery of terms and conditions, and binding coverage
  • Participate in cross-sell initiative of FINEX products and Cyber Risk Solutions
  • Coordinate with local offices to ensure alignment between broking and production strategies
  • Create client proposals using our Willis Excellence Model guidelines


  • Technical knowledge of FINEX product lines include Cyber, Tech E&O, Media and Miscellaneous E&O coverages
  • Knowledge and understanding of current marketplace/ carriers
  • Transactional oriented; ability to multitask and manage multi priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and meticulousness
  • Commitment to maintaining clear and accurate electronic files
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Enhanced client service skills; skilled at interfacing with customers – internal and external
  • Working knowledge of financial statements and financial analysis
  • Insurance broker's license required within 90 days of start date
  • Experience in either underwriting / broking / or claims roles
