Avail is a new car sharing platform focused on improving mobility and reducing the cost of car ownership. We give car owners a way to earn extra income from their idle cars and connect drivers with a convenient, affordable way to drive a car when they want.

Job Summary

The Business Operations Director is responsible for leading major Avail line(s) of business. This role at any time will be responsible for setting the vision and strategic direction for his/her line of business as well as the development and execution of a comprehensive business plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively contributes to leadership team decisions and initiatives
  • Effectively able to converge around a decision and rally team
  • Consistently leads development of strategic direction beyond functional area
  • Leads the idea generation, test design, test execution and implementation of Avail/ Avail solutions
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on complex Avail innovation issues with other Avail functional leaders, and other stakeholders
  • Anticipates needs of the organization and leads efforts for continuous improvements with Avail/Avail systems design and processes
  • Build an organization capable of creating strategy to drive new initiatives successfully across the company; recruit, develop, coach and counsel a world-class team.
  • Clearly communicate business objective timelines to executive team, expose risks and tradeoffs with a no surprises philosophy.
  • Provide leadership, motivation and hands-on direction to management, analytics, and trust & safety teams in service to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
  • Provides insights and perspective on key consumer, market, technology, and competitive trends that will impact current and future Avail/Avail strategies

Preferred Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; May also have advanced degree
  • 12 or more years of related Experience
