Job Description Summary
Our Innovation Practice Lead is responsible for leading, shaping and delivering our insights, research and category reviews. You will play central role in providing stimulus an helping the organization put context to certain topics and emerging themes and analyse the external innovation ecosystem. You will work closely with our external ecoystem partners, ranging from Venture Capital partners, innovation accelerators and regional InsurTech organizations in order connect the organization with latest technology and startups. You will partner closely with various Business Units in order to understand and accelerate their innovation priorities and collaborate closely with the Enterprise Experimentation Accelerator in order to bring them to life.
This role sits within the Enterprise Innovation team and you will be working closely with the Chief Innovation Officer and his direct reports. You will also be partnering and working with several leaders and senior stakeholders from across the Enterprise and Business Units. This role reports into VP of Innovation.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Contributes to and leads delivery for Insight Papers, Category Reviews and research for the Enterprise Innovation Office
  • In charge of overall portfolio of research related activities
  • Works closely with external ecosystem partners in order to share our priorities and bring back relevant technologies and startups to the organization
  • Partners with various Business Units in order to explore and deliver their innovation prioritize
  • Works closely with our Experimentation Accelerator Team to bring ideas, pilots and POC's to life
  • Is a thought leader within the insurance and innovation space

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in digital transformation, product development, strategy consulting or innovation related field preferred.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or advanced Experience preferred.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in digital transformation, product development, strategy consulting or innovation related field preferred.
  • General knowledge of business operations and management is preferred.
  • Broad experience with end-to-end proposition development experience, including marketing and market analysis, operations, technology, customer experience and commercials / business model.
  • Experience in deploying idea-generating techniques to generate new commercial business opportunities.
  • Experience in lean methodologies to assist decision-making in uncertain environments, including: design thinking, lean start-up testing, agile product development.
  • Demonstrated ability of direct responsibility for delivering, shaping and prioritizing transformational / innovative change.
  • Management of teams and ability to motivate and deliver through multi-disciplinary cross-functional teams at pace in new environments.
  • Stakeholder management and evidence of building and maintaining strategic relationships in a corporate setting.
  • Background in Insurance and/or Financial Services.

Job Specific Technical Skills & Competencies
  • Interpersonal communication skills with ability to advise and consult appropriately at various levels of the organization.
  • Analytical skills, with proven ability in synthesizing data from multiple departments to assist in decision-making.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with confidence in market sizing, investment analysis and financial modelling (including unit economics).
