Job Summary

AB Agent Relations provides administrative support to agents, brokers, strategic business partners and AB sales leaders with respect to agent contract maintenance and compliance with state regulatory requirements; and provides administrative oversight of agent compensation.

The Commission Accounting Department is responsible for reviewing, adjusting and processing earned and advanced commissions on in force policies as well as 1099 tax reporting. This group also provides research agent commission inquiries and processes bonus and miscellaneous checks for the field force.


Provides phone support to the call center regarding inbound commissions questions from Agents and Brokers as well as the Allstate Sales Support Unit and the field. Processes all agent maintenance transactions and advance and earned commission cycles as scheduled.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides customer service support for the Customer Care Center, The Allstate Special Sales Unit, regional offices and agents on all commission matters.
  • Researches issues and responds to internal and external customers.
  • Process agents maintenance transactions such as Book of Business Sales, change of name and/or tax ID on agent records, advance commission history adjustments, check and ACH deposit transactions and quality checks on those same transactions as well as address and direct deposit changes.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience
  • Two years of insurance industry experience with knowledge of agent hierarchy, commission schedules and insurance terms and products.
  • One year of experience in the commission department at Allstate Benefits.
  • One year of experience in dual entry accounting
  • Advanced knowledge of Mircosoft Excel and Outlook as well as internet usage
  • Oral communication skills as well the ability to diplomatically deal with agents and field representatives in tense situations

This person will need to be available to work Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm ET (1 hour lunch).

Compensation Data

Compensation range for this position is $33,200 - 38,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
