Actuarial Analyst to work on global technology development team which builds analytical tools and technology (Core Analytics) which empower our brokers, client service teams and clients. Project teams focus on research and data analysis, concept creation, tool development and enhancement, and the corresponding service and training content for scalable use. These models vary across all phases of P&C insurable risks as well as less traditional risks across the entire enterprise risk spectrum and risk tolerance.

The Role
The Actuarial Analyst will work on project teams focused on creation and adoption of scalable analytical models for the Commercial Risk & Broking Segment within Willis Towers Watson. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Work within specific actuarial/analytical work streams
  • Reconciling and analyzing data
  • Research and Development on various elements of risk, modeling concepts, data evaluation and manipulation
  • Collaborate with IT professionals on project delivery
  • Training and interaction across the brokerage community
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on various analytical work streams
The Requirements
  • Experience in applied actuarial methods and data manipulation
  • Strong background in mathematics and finance required
  • Advanced computer modelling skills, higher level programing a plus (such as R, MATLAB and/or SQL)
  • Actuarial exams and insurance industry experience are recommended
  • Strong communication skills
  • Productivity in a team environment and collaboration is a core competency expected
  • Detail-oriented and good organization skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Strong written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to execute on multiple projects simultaneously
  • High energy level and intellectual curiosity
