Job Summary

The Insurance Product Management Senior Manager is responsible for supporting the development of products, services or recommendations to support the overall financials and health of insurance product(s) as well as contributing to the achievement of profit and growth targets for an insurance product(s). This job is also accountable for leading innovations and integrating product needs across AORs. This position manages first-level leaders in addition to lower level consultants in accomplishing this work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the achievement of short- and long-term strategies to achieve market share growth and profitability targets on a countrywide basis
  • Ensure an effective strategy is developed and implemented for the integration and execution of product, pricing and risk management for countrywide usage
  • Manage two or more lower-level Managers and/or Consultants, including performance management, workforce planning and recruitment activities
  • Provide thought leadership and recommendations to leaders regarding initiatives and strategic fit
  • Lead and ensure coordinated efforts across the organization to facilitate the implementation of initiatives
  • Utilize analyses of the industry from internal and external sources (competitive analyses, demographics, emerging issues) to formulate strategic recommendations on countrywide pricing, product or risk management
  • Work directly with stakeholders and cross-functional AORs including marketing, sales and the field product organization to align on strategies and execution methods
  • Design and support innovations in all aspects of the product development lifecycle
  • Seek out resolutions to barriers

Preferred Qualifications

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years relevant experience

  • None

Functional Skills


  • Expertise in product, price, underwriting and insurance regulation knowledge (preferred)
  • Experience with agile methodology and digital transformation
  • An advanced knowledge of business in general and multi-dimensional knowledge of industry and company economics
  • Develop and/or revise business tactics to support changing business strategies and direction
  • Strong people and thought leadership skills; ability to develop, mentor and coach others
  • Communication skills combined with the ability to influence others at different levels of leadership
  • Ability to consistently achieve superior results
  • Ability to measure, evaluate, and act on results (financial and operational)
  • Demonstrate and foster a sense of urgency, strong commitment and accountability for achieving results
  • Proven ability to effectively network and communicate
Compensation Data

Compensation for this position will be $110,600 to $186,000/year plus AIP bonus. Actual salary offered will depend on selected candidate's experience and qualifications.
