Job Summary

The Sr. Communications Consultant, Social Experience is a key resource within Allstate’s Social Media Center of Excellence (COE). This role is on the Social Experience Team, which is tasked with creating social content and experiences for Allstate that drive both brand reputation and the business.


The Sr. Communications Consultant, Social Experience will help bring our brand values and purpose to life through the creation (and distribution) of social content and experiences for Allstate’s social media channels. Content is not focused on our products, but our purpose as a company (examples include core values, corporate giving, Sustainability, empowering consumers, and sponsorships). Content isn’t a post, but an experience designed to evoke an emotional response and leave a lasting impression with our followers. We want to talk with them, not at them. Your work should result in increased content quality, engagement and brand love.



The Sr. Communications Consultant is the “showrunner” who knows how to bring creative ideas to life in partnership with our Creative and Production Teams. You are responsible for managing project timelines, communicating with internal and external partners, providing creative feedback and overseeing the production and publishing of final social creative. This person works tirelessly in service of great ideas.



As a person, the Sr. Communications Consultant is passionate about growing purpose-driven brands through social experiences. They are a social media expert (paid and organic) who enjoys playing at the intersection of PR, Communications, Influence and Advertising. They are excited to push boundaries and lead a new social vision grounded in consumer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, execute + publish social campaigns that facilitates an experience of our brand purpose.
  • Works with manager to develop campaign social strategies.
  • Works with manager to write creative briefs.
  • Proactively monitor cultural and category trends to uncover new insights that can be applied to the business.
  • Collaborate on integrated campaigns to develop social extensions specific to the behaviors and best practices for each platform.
  • Own project management/project schedule
  • Manage the day-to-day for social campaigns.
  • Manage a social content calendar.
  • Maintain relationships with key social platforms
  • Partner with media team for paid content.
  • Partner with Production team and consult on how creative gets made.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience
  • 3+ years advertising/marketing experience—understands campaign development and roles of each team
  • Experience with social media campaign creation + execution (paid + organic).
  • A creative advocate with a passion for big ideas.
  • Resourceful problem solver who likes to get stuff done.
  • Comfortable in managing constantly evolving platform landscape while providing clear POV’s and willingness to align / educate / compromise with internal partners.
  • Ability to provide strategic feedback to creative teams and report on content performance.
