We are delighted to be offering an exciting Director opportunity reporting to the ATSV Vice
President and Chief Information Officer for Allstate Claims. The role will have accountability for leading
the discovery and delivery of innovative technical solutions that enable Claims business outcomes and
are aligned to enterprise target state architectures. We are a customer-centric delivery operation across
a highly matrixed and globally dispersed product engineering organization.



We are looking for an individual who has:
•Lead cross shore product teams to deliver modern technology solutions that enable business
opportunities and/or solve problems.
•Emotional intelligence strengths that can be leveraged to collaborate and negotiate across
various levels of Allstate and ATSV.
• An optimistic mindset obsessed with finding common ground.
• A curious “what if” mindset committed to learning in pursuit of the “art of the possible”.
• Strong sense of ownership driven towards achieving outcomes and comfortable operating in the
abstract.
• Thought leadership skills that enable him/her to command an audience towards outcomes.
• Strong Communication skills able to break down complexity for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

The individual will work under minimal supervision and will have latitude for defining and executing technical strategies in support of Claims desired outcomes/opportunities:


•Leading the solutioning and technology implementations to enable Key Bets as defined by
Claims plan and Allstate strategic roadmaps.
•Building strong/trust-based relationships within Technology, Claims, vendors and other partner
organizations.
•Be a Leader of Leaders and promote inclusive diversity across all shores.
•Lead the evolution of scalable strategic visions.
•Accountable to achieve all organization financial plans are achieved and able to make decisions
based upon financial viability.
•Build and maintain a culture based upon engineering excellence.



Essential criteria candidates should clearly state on their application form how they meet each of the essential criteria as these will be assessed during shortlisting and only these deemed to meet all of the below criteria will move forward to the next stage.

Essential Criteria

Must be available for rotation (if not a promotion); and:


•Must have good attendance and a clean disciplinary record.
•Currently at Band G, or Band F with a 2020 end of year performance score of 3 or above.
•10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering roles.
•A minimum of 7 years management experience with 3 year in a senior leadership role.
•Technical aptitude affords familiarity with software/cloud engineering best practices.
•Experience architecting and implementing secure enterprise-scale applications.
•Experience establishing competitive intelligence capabilities in support of new market
opportunities.
•Experienced in product strategy, product vision definition, product roadmaps, product discovery
and KPI definition and measurement.
•Experienced in leading large-scale delivery across global locations.
Expertise in building and leading global product teams, and implementing highly iterative
software development practices including agile Scrum, agile XP.
•Proficiency in leading organizational change strategies encompassing people, processes and
technology to support digital transformation.
• Ability to manage relationships and influence at VP level and above.
• Adapt at seeking out and creating digital ecosystems and forging relationships with academia, government bodies and private sector.

Desirable Criteria

Claims business acumen.
