The Lead Communications Consultant – Compliance & Conduct is responsible for driving enterprise-wide conduct- and compliance-related communications, including for the ethics, regulatory compliance, privacy, and Innovation Law teams.
⦁ Help craft operational objectives for enterprise-wide conduct and compliance-related communications, with a focus on streamlining and synergizing existing processes from multiple functional teams
⦁ Champion the integration of communications processes into Innovation Law/EBC’s day-to-day workflow including work intake and project management processes, and work closely with operations professionals to direct communications projects
⦁ Provide message guidance, preparation, and day-of support for executive and leadership speaking engagements
⦁ Leverages the latest tools, technologies and resources for best practices
⦁ Use quantitative, qualitative and trend data as well as thorough knowledge of industry best practices to recognize policy and process gaps and provide practical guidance to identify root causes and work with others to recommend process improvement opportunities then drive the implementation of the solution
⦁ Manage work through a cohesive plan that outlines objectives, timelines, risks, and deliverables enabling the movement of the most important work forward
⦁ Recommend and implement changes to team and department methods and strategies based on in-depth knowledge of functional area goals and remove barriers to change to support innovative solutions
⦁ Understand business requirements and work to define appropriate controls while meeting the business need
⦁ Collaborate with business leaders across the enterprise, including in Risk, HR, Corporate Relations, audit, and technology, as well as leaders across Law & Regulation
5+ years of equivalent work experience. Experience with regulatory compliance, privacy, or ethics strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Subject matter expertise in relevant areas, including data, privacy, cybersecurity, technology, ethics, and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated understanding of emerging business trends and ability to embrace both team and enterprise-wide strategic objectives
- Strong intermediate to Advanced MS Office Skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally throughout the enterprise
- Excellent time management and flexibility
- High comfort level with ambiguity, and with the ability to calmly and proactively manage high-pressure, time-sensitive situations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate Allstate’s vision and strategy as well as emerging business trends and team strategic objectives
- Highly motivated individual, who independently determines approach for managing projects and teams, including proactively anticipating operational issues and developing preventative measures taking accountability for own targets
- Uphold brand standards while creating effective, dynamic and well-thought-out internal and external presentations that are readable in multiple form
The starting salary range for this position starts at $75,900 to $138, 300 commensurate with experience
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
