Job Summary

Talent Acquisition develops, directs, plans, and evaluates the external recruitment and/or internal transfer programs to satisfy the organization's staffing requirements. The Talent Acquisition team has a direct working relationship across all business areas and provides consulting services related to sourcing, researching, marketing, recruiting, screening candidates, interview management and recommendations to meet business area hiring goals. Talent Acquisition interprets internal or external business needs and recommends best practices.



Within Talent Acquisition, Strategic Services (SS) is responsible for providing sourcing optimization consulting services and recommending best practices. SS develops, maintains, and supports strategies, programs and tools related to sourcing strategies, knowledge management, and employment branding. SS ensures that Talent Acquisition strategies, programs and tools provide a pipeline of quality talent through data-driven sourcing and effective employment branding opportunities.


The Labor Market Research Consultant is for leading and managing complex research requests through the development of advanced research strategies for specific client groups. The Consultant will support clients across Talent Acquisition and support the Manager in managing assignments requiring advanced research skills including enterprise-wide competitive intelligence initiatives and process improvement. Accountabilities include representing the Strategic Services team, managing the workflow, and prioritization of research work.

The person will work closely with the Manager to assist in establishing the research process and competitive intelligence offerings. They will proactively work as a team member and individual contributor to gather, synthesize, and consult on information and data associated with talent market opportunities. They will be responsible for reviewing and guiding the output and work product of key research initiatives of other members on the team. This individual will assist in developing and broadening the knowledge base of the Talent Acquisition department.

Key Responsibilities

Research


  • Ensures TA Leadership and HR Management have awareness of the labor market and competitive intelligence talent landscape
  • Manages confidential and complex research requests enterprise-wide
  • Proactively provides competitive intelligence and labor market analysis to Talent Acquisition
  • Defines the methodology and strategy of research projects and leads projects
  • Identifies opportunities to improves team processes and methodologies to better serve the Talent Acquisition Team and internal business partners
  • Tracks and manages effectiveness of research tools to ensure we are achieving ROI
  • Identifies and implements methods for the delivery of information to Human Resources and recruiting teams
  • Identifies, analyzes, and synthesizes competitive intelligence (primary and secondary research), labor market intelligence, industry trends, and external talent data to drive business decisions
  • Identifies databases and research and sourcing tools that will advance Talent Acquisition outcomes. Makes adjustments based on ROI and feedback where necessary. Develops and manages the Talent Acquisition Team’s methodology for research strategy, including utilization of internal/external resources and proprietary databases
  • Builds subject matter expertise for searching optimization
  • Develops strategic Boolean search strings to support recruiting through various databases
  • Customizes research strategies based on complexity and level of search
  • Aligns with branding SME to identify opportunities to increase recruiting effectiveness based on messaging and sourcing approach
  • Aligns with specific functional areas, such as technology or marketing, and develop subject matter expertise in sourcing for talent
  • Shares best practices and educates recruiters and research team on additional sourcing resources to build a passive candidate network
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree in library and information science a plus
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in an information specialist, research associate, analyst or market research role in an applicable industry required
  • Experience in leading projects and/or cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of executive search research services preferred
  • Advanced research skills and basic business knowledge
  • Experience in synthesizing information quickly and providing recommendations
  • Uses experience, innovation, and judgment to make decisions that may be based on partial information
  • Experience managing ad hoc and long-term research projects or assignments
  • Advanced knowledge of Boolean logic
  • Advanced experience with proprietary research databases
  • Ability to proactively conduct primary research through phone
  • Ability to manage relationships with external vendors
  • Experience with Internet Research through public and free resources, including Google, and other related online tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite required
  • Experience with candidate management databases or customer relationship management systems a plus
  • Experience with sourcing tools as a user (not job seeker)
  • Knowledge of collaboration technologies such as Microsoft SharePoint a plus
  • Advanced time management skills including ability to handle multiple projects, great follow-up skills and capable of multi-tasking effectively
  • Ability to develop & deliver effective presentations
  • Professionally exhibits organizational skills, analytical skills, prioritization skills, and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence clients at all levels across the enterprise
  • Resourceful, critical and strategic thinker, and creative problem solver: ability to quickly and effectively get things done while managing unanticipated issues
Compensation Data

Compensation range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
