Allstate is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our forward engineering team supporting Transformative Growth initiative within the Allstate Family of Companies.

What You Will Do

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:


  • You will use the latest selected technology stack in your day-to-day development activities.  
  • You will work alongside other experienced engineers in a paired environment, sharing your knowledge and skills, and learning from others as the product progresses. 
  • This will be Software engineering position providing opportunity for both front-end UI and back-end services development experience, with a primary focus on back-end. Ideally you will already have experience in Java/Spring, however an enthusiasm for software engineering and a proven ability to investigate and apply new technologies in your current role will also be strongly considered. 



Job Qualifications

  • 1+ years technology development and implementation experience.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (especially Agile XP), including paired programming and test-driven development.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science preferred
  • Excellent Java and/or JavaScript coding background including familiarity with the following tools:
      • Microservices
      • Spring Framework
      • Microsoft SQL Server or MongoDB
Compensation Data

Compensation range for this position is $60,000- $90,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. 

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
