Compensation Data

Salary Range: $46,700. - $65,200.

Job Description

The Allstate Technical Review Team has an excellent opportunity for a Third Party Carrier Demand Adjuster.

Customers need us the most when they are involved in an accident. As an Allstate Technical Review Team Third Party Carrier Demand Adjuster you will play a vital role to ensure we deliver on our promise of delivering fair and efficient claim service. This position supports management in ensuring consistency of estimating practices from the repair facilities, and compliance to best practices. This role includes conducting desk reviews of estimates/supplements and photos from repair facilities and negotiate the damage estimate with the body shop as needed. You could also be reviewing and negotiating subrogation demands with Third Party Carriers. You will be writing Auto Damage Estimates from photos sent in by the customer. You will be challenged to manage multiple cases simultaneously and solve problems in a fast-paced working environment. You will be measured on your excellent customer service, process compliance, ability to provide accurate estimates and reach fair and efficient claims resolutions while managing costs. Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

Makes and maintains a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs; serves the customer with empathy; and follows up to ensure that customer needs have been met
Researches and responds to moderately complex and occasionally complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts or issues
Reviews customer satisfaction results; works independently to create personal action plans
File Documentation and Reporting

Summarizes documents and enters into claim system notes
Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations and decision-making process
Subrogation Demands and Waiver Requests Review

Explains alternative parts in a moderately complex and occasionally complex claim
Reviews moderately complex and occasionally complex demands and waivers for repair estimates, and provides damages estimates via photos; demands and waivers may include damage estimates, rental bills, tow bills, diminished value claims, paid bills, receipts, car seats, etc.
Researches reasonable amounts and labor rates in the local market
Evaluates diminished value in a moderately complex and occasionally complex claim
Reviews, negotiates and settles moderately complex and occasionally complex demands or waiver requests or negotiates an agreed price in a moderately complex and occasionally complex claim with third-party carrier
Provides and explains moderately complex and occasionally complex estimates and subsequent settlement process
Prepares, reviews, reconciles, and triages moderately complex and occasionally complex supplements

Job classification and hours:
Work schedule: To be determined based on business needs. 
Weekend rotations with comp day

Notice of Licensing Requirement
As a condition of employment, your office/area may require you to obtain an adjuster and/or an appraiser license. 
If required, the Hiring Manager will work with you along with the Centralized Licensing team to ensure that you are properly licensed.

Licensing required; multiple markets preferred.  Required to obtain required licenses within 60 days of hire

You have three or more years of auto estimating writing experience
You have prior experience using an auto estimating program such as: CCC One, Audatex, or Mitchell
