Job Summary:

This homebased opportunity supports the growth of established agents. The Business Building Consultant responsibilities includes designing, expanding, and implementing training and development programs needed to strengthen and retain skills to help agents reach their goals.  Also, it includes monitoring progress and evaluating productivity along with effectiveness of training.  The Consultant is an individual contributor position looking to expand into other roles. The opportunity resides in Allstate Independent Agency organization and is part of the Sales team focused on continuing growth and engagement of established agents.  The role assists the established agents utilizing design and delivery skills to better the agent’s performance and effectiveness – some leader direction required.  

Key Responsibilities:

Sales
    Calls agents to help onboard and get set up in system
    Takes inbound calls for assistance of agents, staff and sales leaders
    Assists in production driving activities for the agents
    Primary sales support partner to assigned regions
    Works cross-functionally to deliver effective, efficient solutions to the agents with sales leader support and guidance
    May on occasion solicit input from key stakeholders 

Education Sales Support
    Assists with the growth of established agencies including but not limited to:
o    Virtual or in office sales assistance
o    Supporting effective delivery of curriculum through a variety of mediums such as instructor led virtual training, web conferences, teleconferences, live meetings and videoconferences with some direction
o    Assisting in creation of training manuals, online learning modules, and other educational materials
o    Evaluate process effectiveness regularly and determines/recommends alternatives or improvements
o    Review resource materials from a variety of enterprise partners and selects materials with appropriate content
o    Develop communication materials to support agents partnering with the sales leaders
o    Support the integration and delivery of process to the regions/field as necessary
    Works as part of a team to deliver effective, efficient solutions 
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience 
•    2 or more years of related experience 
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
•    1-2 years sales experience preferred

•    None

•    Ability to interact effectively, and coach others on interacting effectively, with internal or external customers and act with empathy
•    Applies broad industry knowledge to discipline practices, including best practices, to support the business unit
•    Applies broad ability to leverage learned technical skills in support of team objectives
•    Applies broad conflict management and problem resolution skills in managing internal and external customer relationships
•    Applies broad problem solving skills to continuously improve business outcomes
•    Applies broad knowledge of training facilitation and coaching skills
•    Strong communications skills (verbal, written)
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office (ability to create presentations and create/manipulate spreadsheets)
•    Strategic Thinking - Understand Allstate’s core business drivers. 
•    Thriving in Change - Some understanding of Thriving in Change as demonstrated by the ability to openly support and embrace change.
