Job Summary

Allstate Insurance Company has an opportunity available for an Agency Process Specialist (APS) in the Florida market. The selected incumbent is accountable for the delivery and implementation of business processes at agencies. By working primarily with agency staff (e.g., Licensed Sales Producers [LSPs]), as requested, APSs will conduct: 

⦁    Agency Process Reviews: Reviewing agency processes and offering guidance to improve business results. 
⦁    Customer Engagement & Growth Process Implementations: Assisting with implementation of agency processes required to improve customer engagement and growth. 
⦁    Lead, coach and develop new APAs or APSs 

The APS has skills and capabilities to support Insurance owners and an examples of processes to be implemented by the APS may likely include those on the Agency Process Library. 

This opportunity reports to a Senior Sales Leader and has no direct reports.  Must accommodate overnight travel. The selected incumbent should reside in Florida or Georgia.
 

Key Responsibilities

Process Implementation (~75%) 
⦁    Assists agency owners with the implementation of consistent business processes, with a focus on Growth and Customer Engagement. 
⦁    Implements processes by working with agency staff through process reviews and observation, and providing advice, tips, suggestions for improvement. Shares best practices across agencies and peers.
⦁    Supports LSPs to drive improved business results, including the measurement of results and follow-up of process implementations. 
⦁    Supports Sales Leaders (SLs) in assisting agency owners to achieve goals outlined in the agency compensation program, implement agency business plans, and align processes with company objectives. 
⦁    Maintains accurate and timely records of agency support activities by journaling and using appropriate tracking tools. 

Communication & Relationship Management (~25%) 
⦁    Operates virtually for agency consultations.  May travel to new agency locations for initial support. 
⦁    Identifies skill gaps and reinforces education with agency owners and LSPs. 
⦁    Maintains proactive working relationship with LSPs, including follow-up process reviews and periodic assessments. 
⦁    Takes accountability of communicating updates and progress with SL regarding process support activities conducted at their agencies.

⦁    Suggests individual agency and LSP development opportunities to SLs, as needed, for consideration by agency owner. 
⦁    Supports the SL in communicating company business objectives (in the context of process implementation). 
⦁    Works with and communicates with agency owners and LSPs in a manner consistent with contractual agreements.

 

Preferred Qualifications

⦁    2-4 years sales management, education, training and development, agency support experience in Property &Casualty (P&C) and Financial Services (FS), or 4 years of military leadership experience specializing in training and development or recruiting.
⦁    Prior sales leadership, agency establishment (onboarding) and agency development experience. 
⦁    4-year college degree.

⦁    Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses, as appropriate for the state
⦁    Industry certifications (preferred) 

Functional Skills
⦁    Knowledge of Allstate’s P&C and FS products
⦁    Familiarity with P&C and FS industry, including competitors and trends.
⦁    Possesses process development and implementation skills.
⦁    Strong experience with business consulting tools.
⦁    Expert knowledge of process installation, education techniques and other sales/lead processes.
⦁    Ability to articulate, assemble and deliver information.
⦁    Subject Matter Expertise includes:
⦁    Knowledge of agent contracts, compliance requirements, Allstate policies and procedures.
⦁    Allstate technology and Microsoft Office products.
⦁    In-depth knowledge of the Allstate business model.

⦁    Strong communication skills - Includes presentation, business writing, negotiation, motivation and relationship management.
⦁    Problem solving - Uses judgment by applying broad knowledge and experience when addressing complex issues.
⦁    Ability to train, mentor and coach Agency Process Associate and or Agency Process Specialist
⦁    Generates enthusiasm and sets high standard for success.  Encourages agency owners and staff to set high goals and follow through on their actions.
⦁    Planning and organizational skills - effectively prioritizes work based on importance.
