The Role



As the Embark Client Communications Lead, this role is essential to execute on the revamped Embark communication strategy.


  • Craft clear, succinct, “human speak” messages – both internal- and external-facing – related to Embark product releases, maintenance schedules and service interruptions/incidents

  • Partner with technical support teams, and internal stakeholders during service disruptions

  • Partner with Embark Relationship & Benefits Outsourcing Leader to bring recommendations to the Benefits Outsourcing team on improved ways to keep key stakeholders in the know

  • Over time, evolve beyond a US/NA only resource to potentially a Embark Standard and global resource



As the NA Proposal Director for integrated Employee Experience (EX) and Benefits Outsourcing sales, this role is essential to streamlining the EX sales process for the increasing volume of Benefits Outsourcing opportunities. The focus is on Benefit Outsourcing connections, with secondary focus on Embark expansion.


  • Support development of EX sales strategies in the pre-RFP phase, in alignment with the Benefits Outsourcing pre-RFP sales strategy process (e.g., gathering historical EX context and intel about key players)

  • For Benefits Outsourcing and EX sales, support the EX sales lead by providing/developing RFP response and finalist meeting content; recommend creative ways to differentiate WTW’s materials/approach

  • Curate a library and knowledgebase of EX content specific to Benefits Outsourcing and EX sales opportunities, in partnership with the EX/Benefits Outsourcing Liaison, EX strategists and EX Ops Proposal Team

  • Provide thought partnership in developing Core and Configurable EX solutions for Benefits Outsourcing and EX-related opportunities



Role Priorities


  • Craft clear, succinct, “human speak” messages – both internal- and external-facing – related to Embark product releases, maintenance schedules and service interruptions/incidents, in partnership with Embark Support, Development and Product team

  • Partner with technical support teams, EX/Benefits Outsourcing Liaison and EX/Embark leaders during service disruptions

  • Support activation of the strategic plan for achieving EX growth through Benefits Outsourcing and EX opportunities

  • Partner with the EX/Benefits Outsourcing Liaison and EX Relationship Lead to provide IC for EX sellers, review pipeline, and share experiences and best practices related to selling integrated work with Benefits Outsourcing

  • Support the EX strategist sales team in sales efforts, ensuring adherence to sales guidelines/tools and use of the latest and greatest content/approaches

  • Support NNA EX sales opportunities as EX sellers around the globe become more familiar with EX; support NNA EX sellers with access to the latest sales materials and knowledgebase



The Requirements

Minimum Qualifications


  • 10+ years business experience driving sales and implementing creative and pragmatic strategies to align employee priorities with business strategy, including communication and/or marketing experience.

  • Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization

  • Organizational and culture change / transformation, employee listening strategies, consulting and human capital experience preferred

  • Proven ability to apply deep understanding of human behavior to influence and close large, complex sales and shape highly effective strategies

  • An executive presence with polished and well-developed facilitation, written, web and oral communication skills, demonstrating creativity and technical expertise

  • Track record of success in building and maintaining client relationships, leading teams and generating revenue (global experience preferred)

  • Experience managing concurrent, multi-dimensional projects and people on time and within budget

  • Proven ability to recognize and diagnose issues, work in teams, and leverage the resources of other related practices to address client challenges

  • Ability to draw conclusions from data in a logical, systematic way

  • Understanding of agile principles and design thinking

  • Availability to travel on an as-needed basis

  • Adaptability is critical

  • Ability to work within a complex matrix organization structure

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree
