IIANC Honors Broker of the Year, Company of the Year

Two awards have been presented by the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina: Burns & Wilcox/Moorehead City has been named “Broker of the Year;” and GMAC Insurance has been honored with the “Company of the Year” award. The awards were presented during IIANC’s annual Young Agents Conference in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

This is the second consecutive year Burns & Wilcox/Morehead City has received this prestigious award. The Broker of the Year award is presented to the broker that demonstrates support for association activities and commitment to the independent agency system. Representing Burns & Wilcox/Morehead City at the conference were: Karen Toler, Tina Katz, Sherry Sites and Josh Barmer.

Young Agents Committee Chairman Scott Evans presented the awards. “As chairman of the Young Agents Committee, it was an honor to present the Broker of the Year award to Burns & Wilcox/Morehead City,” Evans said. “This is the second year we have given this award and Burns & Wilcox in Morehead City has risen above to receive it both times.”

Brokers were judged on market availability, competitiveness in pricing, underwriting personnel, product delivery, claim settlement, marketing, product development, accounting contracts, agency contracts and overall agency/broker relations.
