Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based LaBarre/Oksnee insurance brokers promoted Jeff Leane to the newly created vice president of sales position. He is charged with leading the development and implementation of sales strategy and growing the company’s sales organization. He has more than 18 years of homeowners’ association (HOA) experience. He was originally hired by LaBarre/Oksnee in 2006 as a sales producer covering the Scottsdale, Ariz., area. Prior to joining LaBarre/Oksnee, he was employed for 14 years at Merit Property Management.

Marsh & McLennan Agency, a subsidiary of insurance broker Marsh, appointed three executives to its senior leadership team: Lisa R. Hoffmann, chief information officer; Benjamin A. Newman, senior vice president of mergers and acquisitions; and Sharon M. Werner, director of human resources.

Hoffmann joins Marsh & McLennan Agency with 23 years of experience in information technology that includes senior positions with Time-Warner’s Synapse Group Inc., Centex Corp., and GE Commercial Finance. Most recently, she was president and owner of Optimal Sourcing.

Before joining Marsh & McLennan Agency, Newman was vice president of corporate development and senior vice president of operations for USI Affinity with USI Holdings Corp. His 10 years of experience also includes positions with Capital Z Partners and Merrill Lynch & Co.

During her 24-year career, Werner has held senior positions in human resources with a number of firms, including Trinchero Family Estates, Synapse Group Inc., and Diageo.

Heffernan Insurance Brokers hired Janine McCaffery as assistant vice president, commercial producer in its Palo Alto, Calif., office. McCaffery will expand Heffernan’s large commercial real estate and construction insurance practice in Northern California. McCaffery has 20 years of title insurance experience.

Van Nuys, Calif.-based Momentous Insurance Brokerage Inc. named Ryan Trent as sale executive. Trent joins Momentous from the insurance division of ADP, a payroll service provider. He has more than 10 years of experience in client service and relationship management, specifically in the employee benefits and workers’ compensation arenas.

Bermuda-based Armour Reinsurance Group Holdings Ltd. appointed Katherine Barker as president of its U.S. subsidiary, Armour Risk Management Inc. and group vice president. Armour Risk is the group’s global insurance servicing arm.

Baker has more than 30 years experience in the claims and run-off fields of the insurance and reinsurance industries. Prior to joining the Armour Group she was the President of PRO IS Inc, a Swiss Re Group service company where she had responsibility for U.S.-based operations in New York and Boston.

The Southern California subsidiary of Lockton Cos. named Bryan Davis vice president and senior consultant, and Lissa Thomson senior vice president, chief consultant, in the San Diego office.

Davis will serve as a liaison between clients and the benefits team, responsible for managing client relationships and client services delivery. He brings more than 15 years of experience in the health care industry.

Thomson will drive new business development and providing senior support to Lockton benefits consultants region-wide. She will also continue in her present position as member to Lockton’s national Strategic Initiative Group. She has more than 27 years serving in executive positions at some of the nation’s top consulting brokerage firms.

The Hawaii Senate unanimously confirmed Lawrence Reifurth as a judge on the Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals. Reifurth was selected by Republican Gov. Linda Lingle and confirmed by the Democrat-controlled Senate.

Reifurth has served as director of the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs since 2007.
