I enjoyed your podcast. The basic commercial policy limits or excludes the following media in many cases from replacement cost coverage. Usually falling under A.C.V. coverage only. It will have no replacement cost coverage. However, through endorsement certain classes of property can get replacement cost coverage(Hospitals, Schools, Churches).

It doesn’t include 3-D printing within the policy limitation. It may fit under storage media but it could be challenged legally.

Clip from Comm. Policy limiting R.C.C. benefits for this type of media.

“Books of account, abstracts, manuscripts, drawings, card index systems and other records or storage media (including film, tape, disc, drum, cell and other magnetic recording or storage media);”

Thank you, Al Edwards, AINS, A.I.C.
