Nationwide Co- Sponsors Child Car Safety Clinic for Annapolis Hispanic Community

Nationwide Insurance will participate in an automobile safety clinic, including donating 50 car seats, for Hispanic families in Annapolis, Maryland, as part of a safety campaign aimed at reducing the number of fatal traffic accidents involving members of the Hispanic community.

The clinic will be held Saturday December 8 at the Heritage Baptist Church, 1740 Forrest Drive in Annapolis. Nationwide is co-sponsoring the event with the Church, the Anne Arundel County Department of health, the National Latino Children’s Institute, and the Organization of Hispanic/Latin Americans of Anne Arundel County.

The announcement cited statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration showing that “car crashes are the leading cause of death for hispanics through the age of 24 and are the second leading cause of death fort Hispanics ages 25-44. The clinic will seek to raise awareness of the need to use seat belts and car seats to reduce these fatalities.
