John D’Agostino to represent PIANJ on DOBI Auto Reform Committee

The Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey Inc. announced that vice president, John D’Agostino, will represent the association on the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance’s (DOBI) working group on auto insurance reform.

DOBI Commissioner Holly C. Bakke established the group in March as part of the ongoing efforts to examine what improvements need to be made to New Jersey’s existing auto insurance system.(See IJ website April 15)

“D’Agostino will serve on one of three subgroups, specifically established to explore ideas for more fundamental changes in the state’s auto insurance market”, said the PIANJ’s announcement.

D’Agostino is the VP of the D’Agostino Agency in Hammonton. The announcement described him as an “active member of PIANJ,” who serves on the association’s Legislative and Regulatory Committee and the Technical and Company Relations Committee. He is also a member of PIANJ’s Technology Review Task Force and the Southern New Jersey Advisory Council.

“It is our hope that we can enact solutions to New Jersey’s troubled auto insurance market,” D’Agostino stated. “PIANJ is committed to this cause for policyholders throughout the state.”
