Greenberg, Oxley to Speak at 13th Annual Executive Conference

Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services announced a roster of speakers slated to appear at the 13th Annual Executive Conference for the Property/Casualty Industry, an event the company is cosponsoring with Black Diamond Group.

American International Group (AIG) CEO Maurice Greenberg will address the conference, as will U.S. Congressman Michael Oxley (R-Ohio), House Financial Services committee chairman and cosponsor of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

The conference, to be held Dec. 12-13, 2002 at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York, will be organized and presented by The Conference Group Ltd., the New York-based executive conference company.

Panels at the conference, themed Strategy and Policy in a New Risk Environment, include Corporate Governance, Accounting Standards and D&O Liability; Capital Raising and Capital Management Strategies; Capacity and Pricing Trends in a Hardening Insurance Market; Strategic Decisions in a New Underwriting Environment; and Increasing Shareholder Value.

In addition to Congressman Oxley and Mr. Greenberg, other speakers include Gregory Serio, Superintendent of the New York State Insurance Department, Edmund Kelly, Chairman, President, and CEO of Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., and Nicholas Prettejohn, CEO of Lloyd’s of London. Also slated to speak are William Smith, President of Kemper Insurance Companies, William Berkeley, CEO of W.R. Berkeley Corp, and Jay Benet, CFO of Travelers Property Casualty Corp.
