A Healthy Dose of Fraud
Primetime Investigates a Gigantic Medical Insurance Scam
March 18 It’s one of the largest medical insurance scams in history, according to the FBI  involving thousands of healthy people across the country.
is this libelous? allegations against some of these chiropractors have been dropped since this press release was first issued (and copied here in this “journal”) a year and a half ago …
Sounds like Insurance Journal is in bed too!! (i.e., with the industry and Romney et al.) Insurance industry + Insurance Journal + Romney et al. = money, corruption, dishonesty and deceit.
Unfortuanately there is fraud in all professions. The dollar amount of medical fraud in the chiropractic profession pales in comparison to that perpetrated within the medical and hospital community. Here is a good example:
LARGEST HEALTH CARE FRAUD CASE IN U.S. HISTORY SETTLED
HCA INVESTIGATION NETS RECORD TOTAL OF $1.7 BILLION
WASHINGTON, D.C. – HCA Inc. (formerly known as Columbia/HCA and HCA – The Healthcare Company) has agreed to pay the United States $631 million in civil penalties and damages arising from false claims the government alleged it submitted to Medicare and other federal health programs, the Justice Department announced today.
I have witnessed many instances of abuse of policy and procedure by the Chiropractic Board of Overseers in the State of Massachusetts. There have been many instances of a fabrication of charges, distortion of facts and abuse of power. The Chiropractic Board members should be investigated individually to establish that each and every one of them is practicing within the guidelines professional ethics. I believe that we have a group of individuals that are suspect. Who is policing them? There is, without doubt, and abuse of power in this organization. They have lost touch with the reality of day-to-day business activity and human behavior. Which of them has never errored or been victimized?
What goes around does in fact come around.
The cases against the Massachusetts chiropractors for fraud is NOT an isolated incident in the U.S.

I find it interesting that you posted this notice on fraud. Do you have a personal issue with chiropractors? Afterall the medical field also is involved in fraud.
Why isn’t this on your site?

At least some of these “charges” were dropped. The fact that this press release is still posted on the Internet could be considered libelous.

Accusing the little guys of fraud – talk about calling the kettle black.
The charges against Dr. C were dropped long ago!!!!

I agree with Fred\’s comments, the Massachusets Board is out of control and should be subjected to an internal investigation.
Dr Maslar has been involved in a few too many controversial happenings. Sooner or later his ship will come in.
