i read the article “new merit rating system”. i think it is unfair to drivers with clean record as myself in the last 3 years not have their record droped down until changes of the law are complietly in place. to me this is another way for the insurance companies and the state to make a lots of money. people make mistakes through life and 3 yrs without an accident or violation is fair amount of time to show that they have changed their driving behaivior. the other impact ic economical.for example: i’m in the market for a new car. but when i found out that 3year clean slate was no longer in place i decided not to buy a new viehcle. my ins. payment would be greater than my car payment. i think a lots of people in my positon would not buy a car.RESULT: car dealers are not happy,people do not spend on new or newer cars(ICONOMY SET BACK WHEN PEOPLE DO NOT SPEND) ,regitry does not make mone from registrations,state does not make money from sales taxes.BUT INSURANCE COMPANIES GET RICHER. i do not disagree there are a lot of dangerous drivers on the roads. i was one of them 3yrs ago. i have changed.
on the other hand isn’t better if the state changes the laws of getting a licence,so people know how to drive better? it is very easy to get a licence. then someone inexpirienced gets in a car and kills someone? how much money is a humans life worth to the state and ins. companies?
PLEASE REVIEW THIS NEW LAW AND TRY TO MAKE IT RIGHT FOR EVERYONE. THINK ABOUT THE PEOPLE MORE THAN TO MONEY.
