One Beacon is using Erland construction for it\’s new building in Canton,Ma. Erland const. is missclasifying it\’s employees as sub contractors to avoid paying workers comp. insurance and unimployment insurance premiums. The employees they call sub contractors are paying there employees in cash and are not covering them with any work related insurance should they be injured on the job. with cash payments there are no income tax or social security premiums being deducted. The town of Canton and the legal tax payers of this state are footing the bill in higher taxes to build this company there new offices. I would think this would make all of you as angree as myself. If not just look at your realestate tax bill or your insurance policy premiums this should be enough to set you off.

On Friday Nov. 17th I spoke by phone with Mr. Tom Forsyth general counsel for One Beacon Insurance in regards to the Illegal tax and insurance fraud problem at the new building site under construction by Erland Const. Co. He told me he new nothing about this and if I had any information on this to please get it to him for his investigation. When I asked if he had been by the new Building Site he said that he had. If this were true he would have found the same people at the entrance handing out the same information he would have needed to start an investigation. I also find out that he was informed of Erland Const. long before the first shovel hit the dirt on this project. Today Nov. 22nd myself and another tax paying citizen took the time out and made the long trek into Boston to arrive at One Beacon with all the information on Erland\’s past and present documented Illegal activities and Mr. Forsyth again turned the other cheek and sent his secretary down to send us away and refused to take the information from us. Get out from under your desk Mr. Forsyth the hard working tax paying citizens of this state need to hear from you on this total disregard of the laws of the commonwealth of Massachusetts. Your own Insurance Sales People should also be angry that you are constructing a new building for them and using contractors that do not buy insurance.
