Electric Insurance Adds Tiers to N.H. Auto Insurance Pricing

January 2, 2006

Effective Jan. 6, 2006, Electric Insurance will expand its automobile product reach in New Hampshire by introducing additional price points. Using a multivariate pricing model, Electric has developed rate levels that the company says will be at least 7 percent better for customers and improve Electric’s competitive position for a broader range of clients.

“We are broadening our reach while offering more competitive rates and providing our agency partners a total account solution. Our auto, home and umbrella lines are fully supported by a state of the art real-time web rating,” says Mike Mucher, vice president of sales at Electric Insurance. “We understand the value agents place on ease of use and are delivering on our promises.”

Incorporated in 1966 to serve the needs of GE employees, Electric Insurance has since expanded to the general public, most recently through a select group of independent agents. Electric Insurance has $160 million in personal lines written premium for more than 125,000 policyholders.
