i travel from west hartford over avon mountain and return to west hartford from avon over avon mountain mon-fri.
what i have observed is that coming down the mountain, when most folks are braking (decelerating) there are folks, on a daily basis, that try to beat the light at the bottom of the hill and accelerate coming down the hill..i think that the \”stop ahead\” sign should be posted as folks come down the mountain instead at the end of the mountain so they know that they can not beat the light.

doubling the fines for braking the law similar to construction zone fines doubled will not help. When they were doing construction in Hartford on 84 east I was doing 45 the posted speed limit. I had cars passing meon the left going at least 10 mph faster than me. Cars were also riding my bumper. The cops have to enforce the law in order for the law to mean anything. Otherwise it is a waste of money and time to post signs and make laws.
