Perhaps the legislature and the governor should be REQUIRED to pay for health insurance – with NO discounts whatsoever.

I am sure, like our wonderful legislature here in NYS, the Mass politicos pay NOTHING!

The \”idea\” sounds good on the surface–but where did they get a \”cap\” of less than $10k a year for the mandatory insurance to be free? Instead of making them pay for health insurance, maybe the people behind this act should be forced to live on $12k a year–with or without insurance–and see if they think people making that much can afford to pay for mandatory insurance. They need to be realistic about how much people need to make just in order to survive.

There is one big difference between mandatory auto and mandatory health insurance. If you cannot afford auto insurance you can choose not to have the car and not drive. If you cannot afford the health insurance, it is impossible to choose not to use your body.
If mandatory health insurance is to be put into effect, it should be funded by taxes.

    NO
If you can\’t afford auto insurance you drive anyway like 25% of the people on the road. If you have a wreck you force your bills on someone else. It\’s called Uninsured Motorist coverage.
If you can\’t afford health insurance you let the government force your bills on everyone else. It\’s called Medicade.
The \”government\” doesn\’t pay for anything it forces citizens to pay.
