Just like a typical bloodsucking lawyer to not even think before filing suit. The power was out but the phones lines were intact. All she had to do was plug a nonpowered phone in and she would have been fine. Tort reform for frivolous lawsuits is a must.

Everyone is so damn spoiled. What were they doing to help the situation? Whining like the people in New Orleans did because they do not know how to fend for themselves.

If my child was sick, I would walk if I had to to get help. Lazy asses one and all. I feel for the people with businesses but there is also insurance coverage for business interruption. Kind of like not buying flood insurance when you live on the coast, you buy insurance \”just in case\”, i.e. you buy it in case you need it, and if you are lucky, you never will BUT if you did, it was there.

Thank God they cannot sue God. What will happen if we receive a big snow storm this winter and people did not prepare for it by having warm clothes, candles, canned food, etc. in case the electricity goes out.

How do you get racism out of a power condition? A black out is a term stemming from the lack of light at night when the power is gone. Doubt the name ever applied to a person. When the ice storms struck a few years ago, we were without power for 3 weeks and had to huddle around a stove for warmth. Yeah and I\’m white.

I lived in a northern state and yes, they would sometimes refer to ground blizzards as white outs. Absolutely nothing referring to race the same as black out does not when referring to no electricity. How on earth did you come up with that or should I say why? Your kind of mentality or lack thereof causes the racist problems to start. There is none in weather so go somewhere else to snark.
