This is a case of willful negligence on the part of the employer and it seems that $100,000 is a little low on the fine. Of course, there should follow a civil suit…
1st Bobby Martinovich (owner of Zeke and Son) NEVER made an effect to dismantle the scaffolding. In fact when the foreman -Greg called him to inform BOBBY –that Duq.light came by and told them to get down and pulled the boys from that job. HIS COMMENTS and I am quoting \” IF they don\’t get back up there and finish the job today they will not get paid for the day.\” END OF QUOTE
Further more Bobby is trying to make it look like they made an effort but there WAS NO ATTEMPT to remove that scaffolding what so ever. Reason- I know –when Greg his foreman quit–the next job he was at BOBBY came to trying to sell that idea to the ex-forman Greg. Little did Bobby know that the house he was at was my best friend\’s brother–and he & his wife overheard this…..\”we have great lawyer–say you started to take the scaffolding down..blah blah\”. I am Regis\’s Aunt.
Another violation–the winds in Pittsburgh that day were 40 mph– that is what we heard that that what caused the power to jump from point A to B–Rege was in between–there was no contact. This is from the kid (Chuckie Giles) that was standing next to him at the time of death.
Can I ask what the government does with this money? Does Bobby Insurance pay for this?
Sadiest–my great nephew Isaiah (2 y/o) will never remember his dad (Regis) or know how much his father worship the ground that kid walked on.
I hope this does not end with just paying a fine. I think \”Zeke & Sons\” should be put out of business and He(Bobby-owner) sit in a jail cell and wonder all the \”what ifs\” like we do about the way Regis\’s life should have been. To bad there will never be a chance for a \”Regis & Son\”
I just came across this on a google search. This tragedy has no end. The young sister of the man killed is now deceased, as is \”Janice\” above. This man Bobby will have a serious day of reckoning.
