N.Y.’s Gilroy Kernan & Gilroy Promotes 5 to Added Responsibilities

Five members of the professional staff at the Gilroy Kernan & Gilroy insurance agency in New Hartford, N.Y. have been promoted. Agency President Larry Gilroy announced the promotions as follows:

Donald Polczynski to chief financial officer; Gail Manfredo to sales manager; Noelle Richer to manager of employee benefits and financial services; Timothy Street to vice president of employee benefits;and Michael Giacobbe to vice president of commercial lines and risk management.

Polczynski’s responsibilities will include administration of the firm’s finances, human resources, information technology systems and facilities. He also plays an integral role in the agency’s strategic initiatives.

As sales manager, Manfredo works closely with Gilroy Kernan & Gilroy’s sales team members to develop, maintain and monitor relationships with clients, prospects and agency advisors. She also oversees sales and marketing initiatives, and continues to oversee the department’s marketing operations.

Richer’s responsibilities as manager of employee benefits and financial services include supervising the day-to-day operations of those departments, mentoring account management team members, coordinating and servicing benefits accounts, and building and maintaining relationships with insurance carriers.

As vice president of employee benefits, Street helps clients assess and design the broad range of benefits programs the agency provides to employers across upstate New York. She is a 25-year veteran in human resources and benefits management.

Giacobbe’s responsibilities include assessing large commercial clients’ coverage needs and effectiveness, ensuring the continuity of coverage during renewal periods and working with the agency’s risk manager on loss control initiatives. He joined Gilroy Kernan & Gilroy in 2001 and has a total of more than 10 years experience in the insurance industry.
