But, it isn\’t fair to expect insurance or the government to pick up your medical bills or disability payments for your moment of transgression. It\’s not fair to the rest of us, we shouldn\’t have to bail you out.

I don\’t get enough exercise, eat too much red meat and I ski.

Should the government require me to go on a prescribed diet, go to the health club daily and stay on the bunny slopes where I belong?

Making people do what is good for them, even with the excuse that we shouldn\’t have to pay for their stupidity is a slippery slope indeed.

And after you break your leg while engaging in a dangerous sport and go to the hospital and while in there the doctor and they tell you you have high cholesterol, heart failure, and will have to be on expensive Rx for the rest of your life and hands you the $100,000 hospital bill – who pays for your “lifestyle”? The rest of us.

If you don’t wear a seat belt – or wear a helmet – bicycle or motorcycle – or engage in “extreme” or hazardous sports all in the sake of “freedom” – then put enough $$ in the bank to take responsibility for your own actions

    it is “insurance” not entitlement…
