Regardless of which part of the plant is cooled by this tower, it worries me that any part is allowed to collapse worries me. Are they actually performing the inspections as they should on the reactor side? Granted I live in Oregon and the only nuclear plant in the area was shuttered about 20 years ago, so I don’t have the comfort level of those in the east coast.
Being fairly close to this facility, I am not overly comfortable with the explanations and reassurances given. Anything that happens at a nuclear power plant should not occur as a result of an accident. Maybe it happens on the Simpsons, but that was a cartoon. Sounds like Vt. Yankee is run by Monte Burns.
O’Brien should refrain from saying everything is ok there, when he’s only touched the tip of the iceberg. Inspections of this place need to increase.

Is Vt. Yankee located in Springfield? Doh!
