That bells and whistles didn’t go off for Barlett after his own pipe was replaced in his own home just shows he is a bad risk. He should have checked and doubled checked every single job his company had installed immediately after the recall. This sounds like a righteous suit. A rarity.

“The lawsuits targeted as many as 10 companies, including the maker of a pipe that malfunctioned, the manufacturer of the apartment complex’s heating boiler, the landlord and firms involved in the construction of the building, its heating system and the natural gas used to fuel it.

The maker of the pipe being sued. um…those pipes were on recall, so they are not responsible. the firm that placed them into the building who would have been told of the recall, they are responsible. especially since he had the replaced in his own home. suing the heating system or gas used from these companies, will be excused of this claim. it clearly states that the pipe busted because it could not handle the pressure. what it does not say is when the system was placed into the buildings only that the accident happened in 05. the only 2 companies that should be involved is the pipe maker and the construction firm that placed it into service and should have replaced it knowing of the recall. landlord would have never known, he’s not a construction expert nor would he have been told of the recall on the piping. the supplier should have told the construction firm and obvious he did because the owner changed his own pipes out.

He didn’t remember a major pipe job in his home??? I don’t know about most people, but I remember EVERY SINGLE costly job done in my house, and when it was done. He’s just trying to excuse his lack of concern for the residents of the apartment building. Hope he pays on this one!

Sounds like your typical bogus, shakedown lawsuit. While reading the article all i could comprehend is:

blah, blah, blah, money, blah, blah, blah, deep pockets, blah blah, blah, money, blah, blah, blah, more money, blah, blah, blah, cash cow, blah, blah, blah, this isn’t about the MONEY, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
