Sussex County is a beach resort area where the new housing boomed until last year. The major employment is building and tourist. Jobs are gone and tourists are scarce. There has been a large increase in foreclosures of first and second homes. There is a “good old boy” mentality of those who are originally from here. I’m not surprised there is an increase in arson.
Why are the ‘arsonists’ targeting this specific area?

Perchanc the arsonists are those whose homes are about to be foreclosed on?
A true possibility and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was easy to find someone to accommodate.
Or it could just be some bored local kids who are out of school during the summer and see a bunch of empty houses as fun things to burn?
