Keystone Insurers Group Realigns Top Management

Northumberland, Pennsylvania-based Keystone Insurers Group has hired five new executives and restructured its top management team in a move aimed at boosting growth and enhancing services, the company said.

Ralph Sitterson, previously vice president of claims at Berkley-Mid Atlantic Group, was named vice president of loss management. Neal E. Williams, previously of Indiana Farmers Mutual becomes state vice president of Indiana. Angela M. Engelke, who previously worked with Cincinnati Insurance, is now state vice president of Ohio. Eric W. Wertz, previously of Pickelner Fuel, Pa., becomes operations manager. Steve J. Blankenship, previously of Westfield Insurance, was named business development manager.

In addition to the new hires, several top managers were promoted or assigned new responsibilities.

Colin R. Buzzard has been named executive vice president of sales and marketing. Joseph P. Joyce has been named executive vice president of property casualty.

George C. Wynne has been named executive vice president of corporate development. Lea Ann Hawk has been named vice president of client services.

Jacqueline L. Powell has been named state vice president of Pennsylvania. Cheryl S. Brooks has been promoted to state vice president of Virginia. James E. Trotter will now serve as state vice president of North Carolina.

Glenn P. Pletz has been named underwriting vice president of profitable growth.

Keystone also announced new members of its board of directors, all of whom are franchisee principals of the
firm.

They are: Chairman Robert E. Naginey, Carl D. DeYulis, John M. Duncan Jr., William M. Jones, Thomas J. Parkins, Thomas E. Troutman, Todd N. Roadman and Robert W. Seltzer Jr., all of Pennsylvania; Steven E. Jackson of Indiana; Richard A. Farmar III and Theodore Kuester of Virginia; and James M. Garner of North Carolina.

Keystone, which operates under a franchise platform, conducts operations in Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia — and has announced plans to expand into Kentucky by the end of the year.
